Terry mentors poets in the western Massachusetts area in any stage of their development. Before starting, she reads 20-25 pages of a poet’s work in order to understand the writer’s voice, style and craft. She then works intensely with a poet on three to four poems a session. Terry can also critique book-long manuscripts.
Reading in Public
Terry coaches writers of all genres to become more effective readers at public events. Terry works on the reader’s physical stance, voice level and speed, vocal expression and the effective use of (yes) silence.
